    Our History
    1990

    Glob-el’s journey began in 1990 in Norway when newly founded manufacturer Etman Electric in Changzhou, China opened a cutting-edge facility spanning over 30,000 square meters with 4 workshops, 30 assembly lines, over 100 automated machines, and 3 R&D laboratories.

    1999

    Glob-el achieved ISO 9001 certification, a globally recognised standard for quality management systems. This milestone demonstrated the company’s ability to consistently deliver products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

    2002

    Glob-el earned ISO 14001 certification, setting a benchmark for its environmental management practices. This achievement established a framework that continues to guide the company in minimising its environmental impact.

    2007

    A breakthrough year for Glob-el, as its largest client, Etman International ASA Group, went public on the Norway stock exchange. That same year, Etman opened its first store in Trondheim, bringing Glob-el products closer to professional electricians.

    2013

    Glob-el expanded beyond Norway into Sweden, supported by Etman Distribution AS. With three stores now operating in Sweden, Glob-el’s products became widely available to professional markets, solidifying its presence in Scandinavia.

    2014

    In Finland, Glob-el products gained popularity through Etman’s entry into the market in 2012. By 2014, the establishment of Etman Oy and a successful electrical store further boosted demand for Glob-el’s innovative solutions.

    2018

    Glob-el opened a modern distribution center in Klaipeda, Lithuania, ensuring fast delivery of Egant products to DIY and semi-professional markets. This strategic move strengthened Glob-el’s logistical efficiency across Europe.

    2020

    Committed to European manufacturing, Glob-el expanded its operations in Lithuania by equipping its facilities with advanced corrugated pipe extrusion and plastic injection molding technology. The supports professional markets and offers OEM and ODM services, showcasing Glob-el’s dedication to innovation and collaboration.
