Glob-el's Internal Workshop on Marketing Management: Gaining Insights into Enhancing USB and Trunking Socket Business Growth.
At Glob-el, a company dedicated to manufacturing high-quality USB sockets and trunking sockets, we recently held an internal workshop based on Philip Kotler and Kevin Lane Keller's classic marketing textbook Marketing Management -- an internationally recognised source in marketing practice and strategy.

1. Key Lessons From Marketing Management Strategic Role Of Marketing
Kotler and Keller demonstrate that marketing transcends mere promotion - it is about providing value to target markets.
Reflection at Glob-el: Our company recognized that for our USB socket and trunking socket lines, marketing should go beyond catalogues or trade shows: instead it must encompass product development, channel strategy and customer service as part of an overall plan.
At our marketing team's request, R&D and production collaborated earlier with marketing to embed "value delivery" from design stage ,According to the text, conducting market analyses for both consumer and business markets before segmenting, targeting, and positioning (STP) them are cornerstones.

Our USB socket market encompasses both end users (home DIY) and industrial users (machinery, data centers) so we require different messaging for each of them.
Trunking sockets can be divided by geographic region (Asia, Europe) as well as installation environment (commercial versus residential) and compliance standards (CE/UL).

For our USB socket line, we chose positioning such as: "USB socket with installation-friendly design and ultra-safe protection".Trunking sockets should be described as "Modular trunking socket system for creating flexible industrial layouts quickly".Internal workshop participants proposed taglines and benchmarking data that will help us define our niche more precisely.Integrate Channels, Pricing.Marketing management encompasses not just product but also price, place (distribution), and promotion. At Glob-el we reviewed our distribution channels for trunking sockets: direct to OEMs via electrical wholesalers; via electrical wholesalers to electrical wholesalers and via online shopping for USB sockets.
2. Workshop Insights and Team Reflections
At an internal session, participants from marketing, R&D, production and sales shared insights and anecdotes that covered topics including production methods and ideas on pricing for our product offerings. Here were some themes:
Idea: Launch trunking sockets that offer rapid installation to meet contractors who value time-efficiency.
Management Insight: Align Marketing and Production Scheduling--When promising customers new colors or finishes for USB sockets, production must be prepared to deliver without delays if marketing makes the promise. This demonstrates one aspect of management-marketing integration emphasized throughout this book.
Feedback Loop: Emphasized the importance of gathering customer feedback (e.g. from installers of trunking sockets) and feeding that into product development -- an idea which was reinforced in this textbook's emphasis on marketing research.
